The top 10 best Nordic cleantech startups 2016!

We are very happy to announce the top 10 list with the best startups in the cleantech sector in the Nordics. These companies have been carefully chosen as the ones with best potential for success by the very competent Nordic Cleantech Open Jury. Previous years top 25 companies have shown great track record and have included several of today brightest upcoming cleantech stars. Nordic Cleantech Open Beats the Record Again!

Once again we have managed to exceed the number of companies applying for the Nordic Cleantech Open, this year closing at 113 applications!

The increased number in applicants is a clear testament to the strength of the Nordic Cleantech start-up environment and the amazing flow of new innovative companies. The jury will as of now have a first hand dive into this stream to examine the cases further. By the beginning of next year they will have chosen the 25 most promising among them and we are looking forward to being able to present this rounds Top 25 on the 15th of February 2016. Stay tuned!

Finnish cleantech company Enevo raises 15.8 M$ in funding round

Former Nordic Cleantech Open top 25 company, Enevo, announced on the 30 of June that their funding round has closed with 15.8M$ invested.The round is led by Foxconn, Ginko Ventures and Mistletoe, with Earlybird, Lifeline Ventures, Finnish Industry Investment and private individuals joining as existing investors. Enevo has earlier secured $ 10.3 million funding in 2012 and 2013. Enevo was founded in 2010 and has its headquarter in Finland. The company has created ONe, a comprehensive waste logistics solution that saves time, money and the environment. It uses wireless sensors to measure and forecast the fill-level of waste containers and generates smart collection plans using the most efficient schedules and routes. The solution provides up to 50 % in direct cost savings for smart cities with higher quality as overflowing bins and excess fleet utilization are eliminated. More information.

Top 25 NCO company Fourdeg wins Arctic15

We congratulate Finnish cleantech company Fourdeg, part of this years top 25 of the Nordic Cleantech Open, for winning the event pitching competition at the Arctic15 in Helsinki receiving a 50k€ investment as a result.
