Peter is investment manager at Solvay Ventures the venture capital arm of the Solvay Group, a global leader in specialty chemicals and advanced materials. Established in 2004, with offices in Brussels, Paris, San Francisco, New York and Shanghai, Solvay Ventures has over $100m assets under management. Managing a portfolio of funds and direct investments to support the Group’s innovation efforts. In addition to providing capital to start-up companies, Solvay Ventures leverages Solvay capabilities and network to generate business synergies and partnerships between the start-ups and Solvay’s BUs and Innovation Platforms. Prior to joining Solvay, Peter worked at a startup company active in the field of photovoltaics. Peter has obtained an MBA from Vlerick Business School and holds both an engineering degree and a PhD in Physics from IMEC.
