Nordic Cleantech Showcase in California

The five national representatives from the Nordic countries that have been chosen by the Nordic Cleantech Open will also participate in a Nordic Cleantech Showcase in Palo Alto. The showcase, organized by Nordic Cleantech Open and Cleantech Scandinavia, will feature eleven promising Nordic cleantech companies that will pitch in front of leading American venture capitalists. All ready some of the worlds most well known venture capital funds have registered to find out more about the Nordic cleantech wonders. Read more in the press release.

GridManager recieves funding

Another one of last years top 25 Nordic Cleantech Open companies have received funding. It is Danish company GridManager that receives 3 MDKK in grants from the Danish Business Innovation Fund. We congratulate GridManager and wish them good luck in their further efforts!

Sorubin gets new investor

Among the top 10 companies last year were Sorubin. This company delivers an innovative and very energy effective water aerator. Sorubin have found both an investor and an industrial partner in district heating supplier Mittel.

Two of last years finalists attract funding

Two of the companies that made it to the top 25 in last years Nordic Cleantech Open competition has attracted funding during the last weeks.

SEEC does what we all wish we could do – save heat from summer and uses it in winter, apparently their business case is just as appealing as the idea as they have secured funding from seasoned Swedish venture capital company Industrifonden.

Last years winner Ecospark aims to provide LED-lights with better light quality as well as lower price. Swedish public investor Innovationsbron grabbed this investment opportunity and is now an equity owner in the company.

Let there be light! Swedish cleantech start-up Ecospark voted Winner of the Nordic Cleantech Open 2011.

Innovative Ecospark with its light technology solution was singled out by the audience and jury as the most promising cleantech start-up at the Nordic Cleantech Open 2011 today in Copenhagen. The award marks the completion of the very first Nordic Cleantech Open, and kick-starts the Cleantech Capital Day – Scandinavia’s most prominent cleantech investment day.

Promising cleantech start-ups awarded second and third prize in the Nordic Cleantech Open.

The innovative Cleantech companies Oricane and Applied Nano Surfaces, both from Sweden, took second and third place as the most promising young start-ups in Scandinavia last night during the finals of the competition Nordic Cleantech Open.

Changing our everyday lives. Final 10 Nordic cleantech start-up companies compete to become best solution on the Nordic Cleantech Open on April 13!

The top 10 have been selected out of more than 80 applications based on a careful screening, and represent some of the very best the Nordic cleantech start-up scene has to offer. Their innovative solutions promise to change our everyday life and the way common goods and services are produced ensuring successful market introduction and high growth potential.

The companies represent solutions from a wide array of industries and technologies such as artificial Intelligence, industrial robotics, nano technology and highly efficient ITC solutions side by side with more well-known cleantech sectors such as lighting, wind, and solar.

They will present their cases in connection to the Cleantech Capital Day in Copenhagen where the audience votes for the winner of the first ever Nordic Cleantech Open.
