A new group of high-potential Swedish companies is emerging at the forefront of the energy transition with technologies spanning everything from advanced battery development and fusion energy to intelligent energy optimisation and industrial decarbonisation.

Selected from a competitive pool of applicants, eight growth-stage companies have been brought together as part of this year’s Investment Accelerator, suppported by the Swedish Energy Agency and run in partnership with Cleantech Scandinavia. The companies represent some of the most promising and investable cleantech opportunities in the Nordics today.

Together, they reflect a broader shift in the energy system: from centralised and fossil-based to distributed, electrified and data-driven and they are building the technologies that will define that transition.

“This is about driving the next wave of European cleantech,” says Magnus Agerström, Managing Director at Cleantech Scandinavia. “We have the opportunity to build globally competitive industries in areas where there’s often a perception that Europe can’t compete. But we’ve seen time and again that one breakthrough, one innovation that drives costs down enough, can completely change that dynamic. These companies are proving exactly that.”
