Dr. Cara Tobin is an environmental engineer with a specialization in water, food and energy security. Cara is passionate about the application of innovations supporting climate change mitigation and adaptation. She has developed and secured over USD 330 million of financing for projects addressing water and energy insecurity in Africa, Central Asia and the Caribbean. She is a technical advisor for the USD10 billion Green Climate Fund and co-founded ClimatePlace.ch, the first Blended Climate Finance marketplace for low-carbon and climate resilient development. Previously, Cara worked with civil and environmental engineering firms in the USA, New Zealand and Australia.
