Ismat Fathi works at C40 Cities as a Clean Construction Manager. With a degree in Architecture, she worked as an environmental architect in different parts of India with expertise in vernacular architecture (local building materials and techniques) along with generating local employment. She then went on to work as an experiential educator in the field of urban sustainability. Following her passion to make cities more resilient, liveable, breathable and greener she pursued her master's in Environmental Management and Policy from Lund University, Sweden. Since then Ismat expanded her profile to work in the policy and innovation field working with clean construction, green infrastructure, bio-based materials, and urban nature-based solutions in various international organisations in Europe.
