Damien is a member of the Capricorn Cleantech team, focusing on biotech solutions for a zero carbon and circular economy. He enjoys working with founders, developing insights on business model validation, business strategy, team composition and scaling up. Prior to joining Capricorn Partners in 2022, Damien builtover 15 years of experience in open innovation and venture capital investments. He was involved from the start in InnovationQuarter, the regional economic development company for the Rotterdam-The Hague area in the Netherlands, where he was Senior Investment Manager and team leader for Cleantech, Agri & Food and Biotech in the IQ Capital fund.

Damien holds a degree in political science, and an MBA at the Amsterdam Business School of the University of Amsterdam, as well as additional training, including the Dutch Association of Private Equity and Venture Capital (NVP) and the ScaleUp Board Program at ScaleUpNation.
