Blykalla is a Swedish deep-tech startup that develops and builds small modular reactors (SMRs) to deliver clean baseload energy. We take 25+ years of leading research to industrialization with our advanced reactor, the SEALER. By using liquid lead as coolant, we create a small, safe, and scalable power source that will produce energy for 25 years without refueling. Our vision is to singlehandedly lower the world's carbon dioxide emissions by 500 Mt annually, by replacing fossil power plants - that is 1% of global emissions, every year. Our seed round last summer was oversubscribed 5x, and now we are raising our Series A round to build a test reactor together with Uniper to pilot the technology.
